Louise Challiss

Louise Challiss - PAN Publicity Limited - Managing Director

Louise is Managing Director of PAN Publicity Limited, the UK’s only specialist marketing agency dedicated to the groundcare industry.

In 2025, PAN marks 35 years since taking on its first client in the professional amenity sector, a legacy that Louise is proud to continue as she leads the business into an exciting new chapter.

Louise joined PAN in 2014, fresh from university, and quickly made her mark. She immersed herself in the sector, eager to learn about the techniques and challenges of modern grounds management. Her genuine passion for the industry, paired with an approachable and enthusiastic style, soon earned the respect of clients. By building strong relationships and demonstrating her understanding of the industry, she secured the trust of some of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers.

In March 2023, Louise took ownership of the company - a bold step that has already delivered record results. Her first full year at the helm proved to be the most successful in PAN’s 43-year history. Day-to-day, Louise oversees the production of press materials and marketing campaigns for an extensive client base, but she sees her role as going much deeper than communications. By staying closely connected to the groundcare community, she ensures that PAN’s work not only supports individual clients but also contributes to the industry as a whole.

Louise champions best practice across all levels of sport, from grassroots to elite venues, and is passionate about showcasing the dedication of individuals who often go unseen. She holds education and inspiration at the heart of her values, and is currently working with clients on initiatives to promote apprenticeships, career pathways and job opportunities.

Louise’s journey has not been without challenges. Operating in a male-dominated industry, she has often had to prove her knowledge and credibility. Whilst this has not always been easy, it has fuelled her determination and brought immense satisfaction when she has been recognised as an equal voice within the sector.

Looking ahead, Louise aims to continue using her platform to drive positive change. She is particularly keen to explore initiatives supporting women in turf, with a focus on training and education that deliver real, practical outcomes.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Louise for the past 11 years, during which she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and dedication in a marketing role that’s often overlooked - especially in an industry where female voices remain underrepresented. Louise has provided invaluable support not only to me personally but also to several companies I’ve been involved with. Her work, though often behind the scenes, has had a lasting impact, quietly elevating brands, refining messaging, and strengthening industry connections with clarity and purpose. What sets Louise apart is her ability to navigate a traditionally male-dominated space. She brings fresh thinking and strategic insight, often anticipating needs before they’re voiced. Her commitment and influence deserve recognition, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this nomination."
