Site Audit by GMA Learning

The Grounds Management Association (GMA) have recently launched this new service which is designed to support the bursar or finance manager, head of sport and grounds manager, by identifying key matters and shaping your solution(s). This is a full site audit featuring three steps: fact finding exercise, on-site visit and easy-to-follow report.

For further information, please contact learning@thegma.org.uk

First step: This step will involve a phone or email-based fact finding excercise with an GMA industry expert. The discussion may include your Bursar or Finance Manager, Head of Sport and Grounds Manager.

Second step: Following on from the first step, an on-site visit will take place and include all relevant parties, to check and confirm any points raised and to allow for step three.

Third step: All the advice given will be documented in an easy-to-follow report which will clearly identify the course(s) of action recommended. Being a full site audit, the report will cover a large number of topics in detail.

The recommendation report (step three), may include:

• Area of ground
• Site constraints
• Pattern and proportion of decorative area
• Workload of the grounds team
• Composition of the grounds team
• Reqiuired volume and standard of provision
• Machinery resources
• Equipment resources
• Identification of any causes for failure
• Compliance issues noted
• Conclusion on key matters identified
• The way forward.

All of the GMA industry experts are/have been practising groundsmen and women with all the necessary skills required to shape your solution(s).
