Level 1: Introduction to Winter Pitch Maintenance

Attend in person to gain essential knowledge in maintaining winter sports pitches.

Learn to assess and maintain pitches throughout the winter season, covering seasonal tasks, turf management, line marking, and safe equipment use.

This course is suitable for both new and experienced grounds staff, providing hands-on experience and practical knowledge to keep winter pitches safe and playable.

What’s involved?

This in-person course combines practical demonstrations and expert guidance. You’ll learn key maintenance tasks, surface assessment, and the safe use of equipment for winter pitches.
