Groundsperson

Whitgift is one of Britain’s leading independent boarding and day schools for boys aged between 10 and 18 years, with approximately 1500 pupils and over one hundred boarding or flexi-boarding pupils. It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey and the south coast.

We are seeking a proactive and practical Groundsperson to support the maintenance and preparation of Whitgift School’s extensive sports facilities, playing surfaces and wider estate. The role involves preparing and maintaining cricket pitches, hybrid sports surfaces, lawns and landscaped areas to a high standard, whilst ensuring the grounds remain safe, attractive and fit for sporting, educational and community use. The successful candidate will also assist with school events, equipment maintenance and the general upkeep of the estate.

Groundsperson

Whitehill Town Council is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and community-minded Groundsperson to help maintain and enhance the town's parks, recreation grounds, open spaces, allotments, and protected natural areas.
Working alongside the Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk, and Head Groundsman, you will help keep Whitehill and Bordon's outdoor spaces safe, attractive, and accessible for residents and visitors. Duties include grass cutting, planting, landscaping, pruning, operating grounds maintenance machinery, carrying out repairs and supporting the care of important local environments, including Bordon Inclosure. The role also involves working with community groups, landowners, and partner organisations on projects that benefit the local area.

Groundsperson

We are seeking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic person to contribute to and provide strong support to the school’s grounds team.
The groundsperson is responsible for undertaking tasks to assist with the maintenance of the general condition and availability of the school’s sports facilities, whether at the main KCS site or at Kingsway. They will work as part of an overall team of 6 grounds staff, and will report to the head groundsperson or his deputy. The working hours will be 40 hours per week, based on the core hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required to accommodate seasonal variations. There may be a requirement to work every other Saturday with paid overtime.
