
Roehampton Club are looking for a Groundsperson to assist in the daily operations of their skilled Grounds team, helping to ensure the sports facilities are presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.
GROUNDSPERSON
Reporting to Head Groundsperson
Full Time Contract 40 hours a week including weekends & overtime
Salary: £30,500 – 34,500
Job Purpose:
Based on a 40 hour working week and weekends on a rota basis.
To assist in the daily operations of our skilled Grounds team, helping to ensure the sports facilities are presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake daily surface maintenance and preparation of the facilities, skillfully operating pedestrian and ride on machinery to maintain the sports surfaces to the best possible standards of presentation.
To be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
To actively contribute to departmental meetings.
To maintain health and safe working practices at all times.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and members.
Whilst full training will be given, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Who we are looking for:
- Someone with two years' minimum experience in sports maintenance.
A recognised qualification or wishes to attain one.
Operates to a very high-quality standard with an eye for detail.
A conscientious team player with the ability to multi-task.
A positive attitude and a can-do approach to work.
Good timekeeping and attendance record.
