I enjoy the science behind performance sports surfaces and working within construction.
I started off in the industry when I was 18 working as an Office Manager for a leading tennis court construction company.
I have qualifications in leadership and accounting and have undergone in-house training on the construction and maintenance of sports surfaces.
In the future I’d like to further my knowledge in performance testing.
I co-own a sports surfacing and maintenance company. My role as a Managing Director involves planning, executing the business strategies and promoting the workplace culture.
I find there to be a limited amount of specialist suppliers and subcontractors in the industry which can be challenging at times of seasonal demand.
Working with amazing clients alongside a great team and seeing finished constructions to a high spec.
Being promoted to a Managing Director at the age of 22.
In five years’ time I will have developed my career in the sports surfacing industry and I plan to run a second business within this sector that compliments my current business.
The person I most admire within the industry is Karen Brady due to the challenges she overcame during her early career at Birmingham City Football Club. I feel inspired by her confidence at such a young age, and we share many business values.
I’m new to the board but so far I am enjoying connecting with others in my industry who are also at the beginning of their career in this sector.
Outside of my job you’ll find me socialising with friends and family, going for walks and reading books.
