For pitches in the South and Midlands the orientation range of 325° to 55° would be appropriate.
For pitches in the North and Scotland a more appropriate range would be 360° to 45°.
A cricket pitch that is oriented in the middle of the recommended range would have the line of play at an angle of 20° (200° on the reciprocal angle).
Baseball pitches would have the same orientation as that of cricket pitches.
