Todd joined the Pitch Advisory Service as the Midlands Regional Pitch Advisor for the RFU in July of 2021, having gained a wide range of experience working as a Senior Groundsman for Walsall Football Club. For over 8 years, his main responsibilities where to maintain the club's main stadium pitch and training ground complex. During this time he also produced a pitch for England Ladies matches, an International U21s tournament, including England U21s, and in recent seasons Aston Villa Ladies home games, all in addition to Walsall FC home games.
Todd holds a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horticulture and is currently undertaking a Foundation Degree in Sports Turf Management with Myerscough College and is set to complete his FdSc course in May 2022.
Before entering the world of sports turf, Todd served in the British Army for 5 ½ years, being posted in Germany for over 2 of those years and also completing a 6-month deployment to Afghanistan in 2008.
