The GMA has been working hard over the past few days to get clarity on what the current Covid-19 situation means for our members . Things are moving, and we are making progress working with the NGBs to update each sports membership. We will update you on our progress as soon as we can. We know this is a difficult time for our members and we thank you for your patience.
Update: 25 March 2020
The GMA has held meetings today with governing bodies of sport and the Deptartment for Culture, Media & Sport to get clarity for the sports turf sector and the valuable work carried out by our members. We will provide a further update tomorrow once the Chancellor has outlined his plan for the self-employed. We know this is a difficult time for many and we are working hard to ensure we give our members the best possible support.

GMA Guidance
The GMA’s recommendation is that EVERYONE follows the advice from the Government and Public Health England, and ensure you are kept informed and consulted by your employers
Coronavirus is an unprecedented event and the GMA is acutely aware that the nation’s resolve is again being severely tested (following the weeks of awful weather that we’ve recently encountered). As the Government implements procedures to slow down the impact of Coronavirus, the repercussions will not only affect your normal working lives but they will also test your patience and mental strength.
You are, however, not alone and we urge you to share your problems and concerns - communicate with others about them, so that together we can all support each other.
This industry has consistently shown its adaptability and resilience. And while nobody yet knows the true extent of what we face and what life will bring, we wish everyone involved in the industry our best wishes in the days, weeks and months ahead - whether you are a business owner, a practising grounds management professional or a volunteer.
Stay safe and follow the Government guidance and the advice issued by your employers.
